The apparel industry’s sourcing of ‘more sustainable’ raw materials is continuing to rise but greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are also climbing, according to a new report from Textile Exchange.<\/p>\n

The global non-profit’s latest Material Change Insights report – released today – warns that with the sourcing of conventional raw materials still increasing, its climate change targets look increasingly challenging.<\/p>\n

The report is based on data submitted by 424 companies \u2013 including brands, retailers, manufacturers and suppliers \u2013 through Textile Exchange\u2019s Materials Benchmark for 2021.<\/p>\n
